Role Overview

As Rowan’s Professional Photography Intern, you will support the creation of high-quality visual content for ecommerce, advertising, social media, and brand marketing initiatives. Working closely with the marketing and creative teams, you will assist with product shoots, lifestyle shoots, image editing, and digital asset organization while helping maintain a polished and consistent brand aesthetic.

Responsibilities

As a Professional Photography Intern, you will:

• Assist in planning and executing high-quality product photography for ecommerce, advertising, and marketing use
• Support lifestyle photography shoots with models, styled sets, and curated environments
• Edit, retouch, and optimize images for digital, social, and print applications
• Help ensure all visual content aligns with Rowan brand standards in lighting, composition, styling, and presentation
• Assist with setup and operation of photography equipment, including cameras, lighting, and backdrops
• Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams on campaign content and visual asset needs
• Organize and maintain digital photo assets for efficient access and use
• Stay current on photography trends, editing techniques, and visual content best practices
• Support onsite and location-based shoots as needed

Qualifications

• Current student, recent graduate, or early-career creative with interest in professional photography, visual content, or brand marketing
• Strong interest in product photography, lifestyle photography, and visual storytelling
• Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, or similar editing software
• Basic understanding of studio lighting, composition, and photography workflows
• Strong attention to detail and a good visual eye
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a creative, fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Portfolio or examples of photography work preferred
• Experience in videography is a plus, but not required
