About the Role

We are seeking a Full-Time, On-site English Content Teacher + Business Operations Specialist to support the development and delivery of our English Language Arts (ELA) program for Grades 1–3 in San Jose, California.

This role combines teaching excellence with operational and business exposure, making it ideal for candidates who are passionate about education and interested in contributing to broader program growth and student experience.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging ELA lessons for Grades 1–3 in areas such as phonics, reading comprehension, vocabulary, and sentence construction
  • Teach both short-term and long-term group classes in a structured classroom setting
  • Create a positive, organized, and age-appropriate learning environment
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to parents to support long-term academic growth

Business Operations Responsibilities

  • Participate in recruitment and marketing initiatives, including student assessments and trial classes
  • Support in-person events such as info sessions, workshops, and community outreach activities
  • Contribute to program development and operational improvements

Qualifications

  • Experience in ELA, early literacy, reading intervention, ESL/ELL, or lower elementary education preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree required (Education, English, or related fields preferred; open to all majors)
  • Passion for education and working with young learners
  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Patient, empathetic, and student-centered mindset
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
