Public Health: CPIP Undergraduate Student Worker

CPIP Job Description - Undergraduate Student Worker 

MUST BE A WORK STUDY STUDENT

5-7 HRS/WEEK

 

UC Irvine's Center for Population, Inequality, and Policy is in search of a work-study student who is interested in providing administrative support and assisting to promote the research of center affiliates and various community engagement efforts.

 

The student worker assists with a variety of administrative assignments and projects. Duties will include general office work including creating flyers, collating materials for reports and mailings, processing travel and other reimbursements, and helping create content and posting to the website and social media platforms (e.g. X, Bsky, & LinkedIn). The student worker will assist with events including set up and clean up. 

 

Please submit your resume along with the hours you are available to work during the hours of Monday and Friday 8 am – 5 pm (only). This position will be available for the academic year of 2026-2027 with a possibility to work during the summer and following academic year.

 

Qualifications 

  • Willing to take initiative, think outside of the box, and be open to feedback.
  • Outstanding customer service, including a friendly and helpful attitude.
  • Dependable, responsible, and strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Be able to work well independently and in teams.
  • Be able to work well remotely and in-person, depending on departmental needs.
  • Be able to pay attention to details and adapt quickly to changes in processes and information and work towards deadlines.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to quickly learn about new technology.

Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), social media (X, Bsky, & LinkedIn), Zoom, and Google Drive is highly desired.
