The Role
Help us bring robots closer to the real world. We're looking for a sales rep to build partnerships with agriculture, farming, and nursery operations across the U.S. The target list includes farms, greenhouses, plant nurseries, hydroponic operations, livestock operations, grain elevators, agricultural co-ops, and produce packing houses. The job is finding the right operations, getting in front of farm owners, nursery managers, greenhouse supervisors, and co-op directors, and onboarding partners whose farmhands, field workers, greenhouse attendants, nursery laborers, packers, and sorters do the kind of repetitive, hands-on physical work that produces valuable robotics training data. This role will directly shape how MicroAGI expands into the agriculture, horticulture, and nursery industry.
What You'll Do
- Scout and qualify B2B leads across the agriculture and nursery sector, including row crop farms, orchard and vineyard operations, vegetable and fruit growers, commercial greenhouses, wholesale plant nurseries, hydroponic and vertical farming operations, livestock and dairy farms, poultry operations, grain elevators and feed mills, agricultural co-ops, produce packing houses, seed processing facilities, garden centers with growing operations, sod farms, and tree farms
- Run outreach campaigns through LinkedIn, Apollo.io, cold email, cold calling, and in-person visits targeting farm owners, ranch managers, nursery operators, greenhouse supervisors, co-op directors, and packing house managers
- Build and maintain relationships with farm operators, nursery owners, greenhouse managers, agricultural co-op leaders, produce packers, and referral contacts across the agriculture and horticulture industry
- Take calls, run meetings, and handle end-to-end onboarding of new agriculture and nursery partners and data collection participants
- Coordinate headset logistics and participant operations across partner fields, greenhouses, packing lines, barns, and nursery yards
- Keep the CRM tight by tracking pipeline activity across farming, greenhouse, nursery, packing house, and co-op leads, flagging opportunities, and helping build the sales playbook for the agriculture vertical
- Get out in the field with flyers at farm supply stores, agricultural equipment dealers, nursery wholesale markets, and county ag extension offices, and represent Shift at agricultural trade shows, farm expos, and horticulture industry events
What You'll Need
- No hesitation around cold outreach, whether that's phone calls, emails, DMs, or driving out to a farm or nursery and starting a conversation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially when explaining something new to people who haven't heard of it before
- Self-directed and organized, comfortable working without being micromanaged
- Interest in AI, robotics, precision agriculture, agtech, or the future of work is a plus but not required
- Experience with CRM tools like GoHighLevel or Apollo is helpful, but willingness to learn is enough
- Familiarity with farming, greenhouse operations, nursery management, produce packing, livestock handling, horticulture, or the agricultural industry is a bonus
