Client Services Associate
About Talener
Talener is a full-service staffing company with headquarters in NYC and Boston. We started as a tech-focused agency in 2007 and have grown organically - servicing technology, operations, HR, digital marketing, sales, finance, and accounting positions.
For nearly two decades, Talener has worked with clients in dozens of industries, from legal and publishing to education and fintech - and everything in between.
Your Career Path
The Client Services Associate role is a clear, structured path toward becoming a full lifecycle recruiter and business development professional. You will train one-on-one with a senior-level recruiter and receive direct mentorship from executive leadership. Every activity you undertake contributes directly to the performance of the business and the development of your own career.
Year 1: Building the Foundation
- Focus on learning the business from the ground up via hands-on training, live team meetings & mentorship opportunities
- Early focus on developing the sourcing, screening & candidate relationship skills that form the core of technical recruiting.
- Introduction to Talener’s proprietary candidate & job models and learn industry-standard platforms like LinkedIn Recruiter and our Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
- Write and refine job descriptions based on evolving client needs and market experience
- Learn to identify and nurture new client opportunities while developing business acumen
- Guide candidates from resume submittal through post-placement, managing the feedback loop, interviews, placement, and onboarding
By your second year, you will operate with greater autonomy; managing the full recruiting cycle, negotiating salaries, and actively developing new client relationships. You will have direct responsibility for sourcing candidates, preparing them for interviews, collecting and communicating feedback, and identifying new business opportunities. Uncapped commissions begin in year two, rewarding your individual performance without a ceiling.
