Eugene Animal Hospital is looking to welcome a full-time veterinarian to our growing, privately owned practice in beautiful Eugene, Oregon.
We are a well-established, 3-doctor hospital that has proudly served our community for over 80 years. Our team is built around a simple philosophy: practice high-quality medicine with heart. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform physical exams, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans
- Provide routine and advanced medical care, including preventative care, diagnostics, and treatment of illness/injury
- Perform general surgical procedures (spay/neuter, mass removals, dentals, etc.)
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up care
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records in our practice management system (Pulse)
- Collaborate with veterinary assistants, technicians, and CSR team to ensure smooth workflow and excellent patient care
- Participate in maintaining medical standards and contributing to a positive team culture
- Support and mentor team members when appropriate
Requirements (Oregon):
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an accredited institution
- Active Oregon Veterinary Medical Board (OVMB) license in good standing (or ability to obtain prior to start date)
- Current USDA accreditation (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to perform general practice medicine and surgery
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to ethical, compassionate, and high-quality veterinary care
