Builder Media is seeking a polished, ambitious and creative college student with editorial experience to assist with magazine development and social media content creation. In this role, you will be working within the editorial team and communicating with the art department to help publish three magazines.This is a ideal for someone interested in digital media, publishing, or social media marketing who wants real portfolio experience working on established media platforms.
Builder Media publishes Builder & Developer, Green Home Builder, and other industry platforms serving architects, builders, developers, and designers nationwide.
Responsibilities
- Finding and writing feature stories, connecting with builders, architects and designers to share their projects and firms
- Social Media content creation for Instagram, Facebook, X and Linkedin platforms
- Assist writing a tri-weekly newsletter
- Conducting interviews
- Hands on experience with a monthly magazine
- Oher editorial duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently studying Journalism, English, Creative Writing or Communications
- Confident in AP Style
- Experience creating social media content
- Experience with Wordpress and Adobe platforms is a plus
- Comfortable working in a deadline driven environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Interest in digital media, or magazine publishing
Details
- In-person in Newport Beach
- Our schedule is Monday- Friday 8:00-5:00 with flexibility for school schedules
- Potential to extend internship past proposed dates
- Direct mentorship with Editor
