  • Practice with health assessments and clinical decision-making
  • Exposure to pediatric care in a dynamic, non-hospital setting
  • Experience communicating with parents, providers, and leadership

  • CNA, LPN, Associate’s in Nursing, or relevant healthcare experience
  • Current CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain-offered as part of our training)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • High level of confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism
  • Calm, level-headed, and able to respond effectively in urgent situations
  • Willingness to live on-site and fully participate in camp life
  • Students interested in pediatrics, community health, school nursing, or camp nursing
  • Individuals who are responsible, adaptable, and calm under pressure
  • Those who want real responsibility—not just shadowing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Enrollment in a nursing program (BSN or ADN)
  • CPR & First Aid certified (or willing to obtain; offered as part of position)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Willingness to live on-site and fully engage in camp life

Essential Skills

  • Experience working with patients in the healthcare field
  • Experience working with children
  • Ability to live on-site for 10 weeks of the summer
  • Patience, Motivated, Good Team member and communicator
  • Ability to traverse uneven, wood-chipped paths by foot
  • CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to receive during staff training
  • Trustworthy and ability to maintain confidentiality

What Makes This Different

This is not a passive internship.

You’ll be:

  • Making decisions
  • Building relationships with campers and peers
  • Managing real situations (with support)
  • Learning how to think—not just what to do

If you want a summer that builds both your resume and your confidence, this is it.
