TA, ENGR 3080, Tech Comm for Engineers

Responsibilities

This is an ideal position for someone who needs a flexible schedule, is comfortable working remotely, and does not need a consistent number of hours per week. Position is for Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters. 

The primary responsibility is to grade the revised writing assignments submitted by students for ENGR 3080, Technical Communication for Engineers. This includes re-evaluating content, grammar, and format for documents; providing written feedback to students; and communicating assignment results to the course instructors.  

The work schedule is flexible, and TAs work remotely. An average of 50 hours of work during the semester is typical. Applicants must be attending school at the Logan campus.  

Engineering majors applying to this position must have taken ENGR 3080, Technical Communication for Engineers.

Qualifications 

Candidates must possess:

• excellent written communication skills
• experience writing and/or editing technical documents
• excellent grammar and punctuation skills

On-Campus ACA Variable Position. US Work Authorization is REQUIRED.
