Social Media Intern

The Opportunity

Are you a creative, social-media-savvy go-getter who loves kids, dance, and building communities online? Tippi Toes Dance – Delco Chester is looking for an enthusiastic Social Media Marketing Intern to join our team this summer! This is a fantastic opportunity to gain real-world marketing experience, build your professional portfolio, and make a genuine impact for a vibrant local business.

 

What You'll Do

  • Create engaging, on-brand content for Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn that captures the energy and heart of Tippi Toes Dance
  • Develop and schedule posts using a content calendar aligned with our program schedule, seasons, and community events
  • Photograph and/or film class moments, summer camps, and recital highlights (coordinating with instructors as needed)
  • Grow our follower base and community engagement across all platforms
  • Write compelling captions and stories that speak to parents, school directors, and community partners
  • Monitor comments, messages, and engagement — responding promptly and positively in the Tippi Toes voice
  • Research trending content, hashtags, and local community groups to expand our reach in Delco/Chester/Montco
  • Support outreach efforts to local Facebook parenting groups and community pages
  • Assist with the creation of promotional graphics using Canva or similar tools
  • Track and report on key social media metrics (reach, engagement, follower growth) bi-weekly

 

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • Proficiency in Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn (personal and/or business accounts)
  • Strong written communication skills with a warm, positive, and energetic tone
  • Creative eye for photography, video reels, and visual storytelling
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage deadlines independently
  • Passion for children's education, the arts, or community enrichment

Preferred:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field
  • Experience with Canva, Meta Business Suite, or social media scheduling tools (Later, Buffer, Hootsuite, etc.)
  • Familiarity with short-form video content (Instagram Reels, Facebook Stories)
  • Local knowledge of the Delaware County / Chester County / Montgomery County communities
