Administrative/Front Desk Assistant (Long-term Temporary Opportunity) at DC Association

Be the welcoming first point of contact for a respected Washington, DC association. In this temporary role, you will serve as the face of the office while providing high-level administrative support to leadership and ensuring day-to-day operations run seamlessly. This position blends front desk management with executive-level support and is ideal for someone who takes initiative, anticipates needs, and operates with professionalism and discretion.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a warm, polished, and professional experience for all clients, visitors, and staff.
  • Manage incoming calls and shared inboxes, serving as a central hub for communication.
  • Maintain communal spaces to ensure a consistently organized, well-stocked, and client-ready environment.
  • Oversee conference room scheduling and support meeting logistics, including setup and basic AV coordination.
  • Assist with event coordination and provide hands-on support for internal and external gatherings.
  • Partner with vendors and building management to ensure smooth and efficient office operations.
  • Provide direct administrative support to leadership, including calendar management, document preparation, expense reporting, and file organization.
  • Assist with special projects, including data tracking, research, and internal deliverables.
  • Step in as a flexible, go-to resource for ad hoc needs across the team.
