Overview:

Advanced Conversion designs and manufactures integrated film capacitor solutions for next generation power conversion applications.  We are seeking a summer intern for our Colorado site.   This facility performs application engineering and prototype production in addition to supporting production activities for our Vermont site. This opportunity will provide exposure to a wide range of activities including production support, R&D, and marketing.  Candidates will be supporting multiple activities with supervision from the engineering team.

This temporary position will be filled at the Advanced Power Conversion Solutions site in Loveland, Colorado.  Anticipated start and end dates are May 15 through August 15, 2026. The job will offer a competitive hourly wage ($19 to $22 per hour), but no benefits.

Requirements:

Required skills 

• Undergraduate student in mechanical or electrical engineering (or related)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Experience with CAD, preferably SolidWorks
• Ability to keep multiple projects moving at once
• Motivated individual that works well with others
• Experience with machining and 3D printing

• Updating product data sheets for our website
• Updating production documentation
• Lab testing
• Assembly fixture design improvements
• Thermal test bed setup
