Marketing & Research Coordinator (Music / Artist Development)
Marketing & Research Coordinator (Music / Artist Development)
Location: Remote (Nashville-based preferred for occasional meetings)
Compensation: $15/hour + college credit
Hours: ~10 hours/week (with potential for more)
About the Role
Nashville-based music company working across artist management and a growing acoustic covers label (Indian Moon / The Acoustic Room). Our focus is simple: build artists that cut through the noise and actually grow.
We’re looking for someone who is obsessive about research, understands internet culture, and can turn ideas into execution—not just someone who “likes music” or scrolls TikTok.
This role sits at the intersection of marketing strategy, creator outreach, and trend discovery, with a direct impact on artist growth and streaming performance.
What You’ll Do
-
Creator & Influencer Research (Primary Focus)
- Identify and track creators, influencers, editors, and pages that align with our artists
- Build and maintain a structured database of high-value collaborators
- Spot emerging creators before they blow up
-
Market Gap Analysis
- Analyze what’s currently working across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, etc.
- Identify content opportunities we’re missing
- Break down why certain posts, sounds, or artists are gaining traction
-
Social & Content Strategy
- Help develop repeatable content systems (not just one-off ideas)
- Pitch creative concepts tailored to specific artists and platforms
- Assist in building a cohesive social presence across label + artist roster
-
Execution Support
- Edit short-form content (CapCut or similar)
- Assist with posting, formatting, and optimizing content
- Support light outreach to creators and collaborators
What Success Looks Like (First 60–90 Days)
- A high-quality, organized creator network we can consistently activate
- Clear patterns and insights on what’s working (and why)
- A repeatable content strategy we can execute weekly
- Tangible contribution to growth moments (viral clips, increased engagement, stream lift)
What We’re Looking For
- Extremely curious and self-directed (you don’t wait to be told what to do)
- Strong pattern recognition—you can explain why something works, not just that it does
- Organized thinker (you can turn chaos into systems and lists that are actually usable)
- Deep familiarity with TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube culture
- Comfortable working independently and communicating clearly
Tools & Skills
Required:
- Google Drive / Sheets (organization is key)
- Dropbox
- CapCut or similar editing tool
- Strong understanding of Instagram + TikTok + Facebook
Bonus:
- Adobe Premiere or Final Cut
- Experience running or growing social accounts
- Any background in music, content, or creator ecosystems
Who This Is NOT For
- Someone looking for a passive internship or resume line
- Someone who needs constant direction
- Someone who consumes content but doesn’t analyze it
Why This Role Matters
You’ll be directly involved in shaping how artists grow in today’s landscape—not just observing, but contributing ideas and systems that get used.
If you’re the type of person who constantly thinks “why is this blowing up?” and wants to actually apply it, you’ll do well here.
To Apply
Send:
- A short note on why you’re a fit
- Resume
- 2–3 examples of creators, strategies, trends, or posts you think are working right now—and why
- Any work, accounts, or edits you’ve done
