Job Description

Looking for a hands-on marketing internship where you’re actually part of building a brand—not just observing it?

Ash & Rose is a woman-owned boutique known for our curated collection of handmade apothecary, jewelry, and fashion-forward gifts. We participate in high-traffic outdoor markets and pop-ups across the Boston area and are hiring interns for our busiest season.

This is a paid, hands-on role focused on live events, customer experience, social media content, and behind-the-scenes studio work.

We’re especially excited to meet people who enjoy connecting with others and creating engaging experiences both in-person and online, while also supporting the day-to-day operations that keep a small business running.

What You’ll Do

Pop-Ups & Events (Core Responsibility)

  • Work weekend outdoor markets and pop-ups
  • Set up and break down retail displays
  • Engage customers, tell product stories, and drive sales
  • Create a welcoming, high-energy booth experience

Social Media & Content

  • Capture content at markets and behind the scenes
  • Contribute ideas for Instagram and TikTok
  • Help bring the brand to life online

Behind-the-Scenes Studio Work

This role also includes important operational support in our studio:

  • Unpacking and organizing inventory shipments
  • Applying price tags and preparing products for sale
  • Assisting with inventory counts and restocking
  • Supporting general studio organization and event preparation

This behind-the-scenes work is essential to ensuring our pop-ups and online shop run smoothly.

Schedule & Requirements

  • 10–20 hours per week
  • Weekend availability is required
  • Typical shifts are 5–6 hours
  • At least one weekday shift preferred
  • Must be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors
  • Reliable transportation required

  • Interested in marketing, retail, fashion, or small business
  • Excited about social media and content creation
  • Comfortable with both customer-facing and operational work
  • Reliable and able to show up consistently
  • Positive attitude and willingness to jump in wherever needed
