The GIS Intern will support the mapping, data management, and spatial analysis needs of the Tennessee Champion Tree Program.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with ArcGIS platforms
- Ability to manage coordinate data and map layers
- Familiarity with GPS data collection and spatial accuracy
- Strong organization and database management skills
- Interest in geospatial storytelling and conservation mapping
Key Responsibilities
- Update and verify Champion Tree coordinates
- Create maps of Champion Tree locations
- Support database cleanup and spatial quality control
- Assist with web map and public-facing GIS products
- Contribute to reports, presentations, and outreach visuals
