Marketing and Business Support Intern
Position Overview
Halcyon is branching out into a new line of business: a consumer-based course for individuals, promoting our philosophy of change during AI-related career transitions.
We are seeking a highly motivated, part-time Marketing Lead and Business Support Intern to help us create and implement a marketing plan for the new course.
The intern will collaborate closely with Halcyon Northwest leadership to blend the new course into Halcyon’s existing brand identity; plan and create marketing outreach through brand-new channels for the company; and convert marketing leads into prospects and ultimately customers.
This position has the option to become a permanent, part-time, paid, remote opportunity with the company.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing: Strategy and Execution
- Create the marketing plan for the new initiative
- Assist with market research
- Create marketing schedule
- Assist with implementation of the marketing plan
- Monitor marketing results and support plan adjustments as data comes in
- Help create marketing materials from pre-existing content
- As-needed, develop and initiate new marketing campaigns
- Track to-do lists and ensure that all items get completed on time
Business Support: Operations and Customer Experience
- Track and respond to inquiries from leads and prospects
- Assist with student issues and concerns and ensure successful resolution
- Collect and analyze feedback from students; recommend courses of action to improve student experience
- Develop processes for the operational support
- Assist with adding material to platform or updating features that encourage course engagement and accountability

Qualifications
Required:
- Interest in building a marketing initiative from the ground-up
- Basic experience with digital and social media strategy and marketing, both paid and organic
- Interest in brand development and alignment for cohesive brand identity and advertising
- Knowledge of go-to-market strategies
- Knowledge of CRMs
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn quickly
- Excellent communication skills and interest in client-facing work
Preferred (Helpful but not required):
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in (or related to) Marketing or Content Marketing
- Background in consumer research
- Experience with Canva, general design skills, and visual story-telling
- Ability to track and interpret performance metrics and recommend new strategies
- Background in education
