4-H Youth State Leadership Intern
Make a difference in the lives of young people through hands-on learning and leadership development. This internship supports 4-H and youth programs that help youth build life skills, confidence, and a strong sense of belonging while exploring a wide-variety of interests. Interns will gain meaningful, real-world experience delivering programs, mentoring youth, and engaging with communities.
You’ll be part of a supportive, collaborative team that values creativity, positive youth development, and community connection. This role offers a mix of in-person programming and planning, with opportunities for flexible scheduling depending on program needs. This position is eligible for hybrid work within the state of Utah, with in-person responsibilities in Salt Lake, UT.
Responsibilities
Program & Event Support
- Provide assistance to State 4-H Leadership Team in the development and implementation of positive youth development programs
- Assist in planning and implementing teen residential conference and camp programs
Education & Content Development
- Assist with development and implementation of curriculum and related training (you will be teaching)
Community Outreach & Partnerships
- Assist with social media and other outreach and engagement efforts
Professional Development & Other Duties
- Assist with County youth leadership and civic programs as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Be an undergraduate student
- Have an interest in the Extension program
- Be dependable
Preferred:
- Ability to teach
- Ability to coordinate with other people
- Ability to work on curriculum (plan and write)
