Entry-Level Business Analyst

Toyon Associates, Inc. is seeking an Entry-Level Business Analyst to join our growing team in Concord, California. As a Business Analyst, you will receive comprehensive training and mentorship designed to develop you into a trusted consultant. You will work closely with our experienced team to support hospitals and healthcare systems across the U.S. in navigating complex Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement regulations.

What You'll Do:

In your first two years, you will gain hands-on experience with key areas of healthcare reimbursement, including but not limited to:

  • Medicare/Medi-Cal Cost Reports
  • HCAI Annual Hospital Financial Disclosure Report
  • California supplemental funding reports
  • Outsourced reimbursement support

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Learning government reporting and compliance requirements
  • Validating and analyzing detailed financial and statistical data
  • Preparing impact analyses to support internal consultants and client decisions
  • Identifying and investigating data anomalies in large datasets
  • Supporting multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a business, finance, accounting, economics, or math-related field
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data work
  • Effective communicator (written and verbal)
  • Proficiency in Excel and basic data tools (Business Intelligence tools a plus)
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S. (sponsorship not available)
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Flexibility to work additional hours during seasonal deadlines
