Engineering Intern

2026 Summer Internship ($22/HR) –Engineering 

 

Are you an engineering student looking to gain some-real world experience? Felix Storch, Inc.(FSI) is a 57-year-old family-run business in the Bronx. FSI manufactures thousands of innovative appliances for the foodservice, hospitality, residential, and medical markets that group into dozens of product categories. 

 

We are looking for a summer intern who has completed at least three years in an engineering, math, or science curriculum that can work independently and has a strong sense of initiative and creativity. 

 

Job responsibilities will include helping one or more professionals with technical projects including:

 

  • Assist in registering qualified products with the Consortium for Energy Efficiency, Inc. (CEE) and updating the existing database. 
  • Assist in preparing templates for CEC and NRCan registrations and updating existing databases. 
  • Provide hands-on support to the R&D and engineering team in development and testing of laboratory heating equipment 
  • Assist with product testing, data collection, and performance evaluation for new and existing products; analyze and interpret technical data and compile findings into clear, well-organized technical reports. 
  • Support the Quality Control (QC) team developing, updating and implementing assembly instructions, procedures, troubleshooting manuals and other related documentation
  • Collaborate with the product development team to identify future product needs, improvements and project goals. 
  • Support sourcing and evaluation of new components and materials, including coordination with purchasing 

 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent computer skills- MS Excel, MS Access, and MS Word 
  • Strong math, science and engineering background 
  • A critical thinker with strong attention to detail.
  • Works well as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work for timely completion
  • Ability to take initiative and work interdependently, adjust to shifting priorities, communicate effectively, and work under defined rules and regulations.


Compensation: $22/ hour

The summer internship program will run for 10 weeks from Monday, June 15 to Friday, August 21, 2026. The hours for the program are 9am-5pm, Monday through Friday. There may be some flexibility with the hours or dates if needed. 

 

We are conveniently located to public transportation and highways. We have modern offices and a casual dress code.
