Math and Reading Tutor (Part-Time)

Schedule: Mon thru Thurs 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM (does not have to be everyday)

Pay Range: $17-$20 DOE 

Position Overview

Are you passionate about helping students reach their full potential? We are seeking motivated, patient, and reliable individuals to join our team as Math and Reading Tutors. This is an ideal role for Irvine Valley College students pursuing careers in education, mathematics, English, or child development.

Key Responsibilities

Student Support: Provide guidance to students (Pre-K through High School) as they work through math and reading worksheets.

Grading & Feedback: Accurately grade student assignments and provide immediate feedback to help them learn from their mistakes.

Requirements & Qualifications

Strong Academic Skills: Proficiency in high school-level Math (Algebra/Geometry) and/or Reading (Grammar/Critical Reading).

Communication: Ability to explain concepts clearly and professionally to children of various ages.

Reliability: Consistent availability during center hours is a must.

Patience: A genuine love for working with children and a positive attitude toward their learning journey.

Background Check: Must be willing to undergo a standard background check.
