Skateboarding Instructor

Summer Skateboarding Instructor

Location: Camp Kingswood
Position Type: Seasonal (Summer)

About the Role
As a Skateboarding Specialist, you’ll lead and grow our skateboarding program, creating a fun, safe, and skill-building environment for campers of all levels. You’ll bring energy, creativity, and mentorship to the skatepark while helping campers build confidence and develop new skills.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead daily skateboarding sessions for campers of varying skill levels
  • Plan and teach engaging, level-appropriate lessons and activities
  • Maintain and organize the skatepark and equipment
  • Ensure all safety protocols are followed at all times
  • Create backup programming for rainy days or schedule changes
  • Mentor and support Counselors-in-Training (CITs) in the program area
  • Build meaningful connections with campers and encourage participation
  • Continuously improve and contribute to the skatepark environment

Community Responsibilities

  • Serve as a cabin counselor during non-program times
  • Support camper routines including meals, evening programs, and transitions
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful camp culture
