O&S Associates, Inc. is seeking a Entry Level Structural Engineer interested in building envelope design and restoration projects.
The ideal candidate is proficient in AutoCAD, enthusiastic, diligent in their work, well organized with good written and verbal communication skills.
O&S offers the opportunity to work with public and private owners on diverse building types from historic structures to modern high-rises. Our engineering services include assessment of existing conditions, structural restoration, construction management. We have a thriving practice in the evaluation of buildings for structural safety, waterproofing, and compliance with local laws, including the Building Milestone Inspection Program.

Responsibilities:
- Assist Project Engineer in conditions assessments and development of reports
- Assist Project Engineer with construction documents including drawings, sketches, and specifications
- Assist with Construction Administration, including reviewing submittals and processing applications for payment
- Communicate via phone and email, to coordinate meetings, follow-up with contractors on open items
- Work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University in Structural Engineering
- Interest in building restoration and repair projects preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with engineering, architectural, and construction principles
- Must be comfortable safely accessing roofs and rooftop structures via ladders
- Be able to take direction from team members.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and AutoCAD
- Must have access to vehicle for local travel to project site visits
- Must be legal to work in the US
