Publicity Intern

 

The Publicity Intern will be an integral part of the Publicity Department at Bleecker Street. They will learn about the ins and outs of in-studio publicity: liaising between various agencies and departments; organizing and maintaining publicity materials; conducting film comp and affinity press research; compiling press breaks; and learning how a film publicity campaign takes shape.

 

We are seeking an intern who has a passion for independent film and who wants to deepen their understanding of film publicity. 

 

Role Responsibilities:

  • Track and compile press breaks for all Bleecker titles on a daily basis
  • Build and maintain publicity docs including status reports, press request grids, talent schedules, and critics grids
  • Research and build out affinity press lists and critics group rosters
  • Attend and help facilitate screenings, events, and premieres
  • Assist with ad hoc administrative tasks within the Publicity Department
  • Help conduct general research for press strategy for films 

 

Desired Skills:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and GSuite
  • Organized, detail-oriented and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with and interest in the entertainment industry landscape, independent film, and Bleecker’s slate of upcoming titles

 

The intern will report to the Senior Vice President of Publicity and will be directly supervised by the Publicity Manager in the NY office.
