Program Coordinator Intern

Summer Internship Opportunity — Program Coordinator Intern

Organization: Entryway Columbus Location: Columbus, Ohio (Hybrid) Compensation: $15/hour Duration: Summer Internship | 240 Hours Total

Are you passionate about making a real difference in your community? Entryway Columbus is looking for a motivated Program Coordinator Intern to help individuals and families facing situational homelessness build stable careers and find lasting housing. This is a meaningful, hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience in nonprofit operations, workforce development, employer engagement, and community outreach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with day-to-day program coordination and participant engagement
  • Support intake follow-up, onboarding, and participant communication
  • Track participant progress, training completion, and outcomes
  • Assist with resume development, interview preparation, and job matching
  • Track interviews, employer feedback, and hiring outcomes
  • Research local multifamily job openings and maintain employer lists
  • Support employer meetings, site visits, and hiring events
  • Assist with outreach to community and referral partners
  • Help coordinate training sessions, logistics, and materials
  • Support volunteers, mentors, and presenters during events
  • Assist with social media updates and participant success stories
  • Maintain tracking systems and support data entry and reporting
  • Provide general administrative and operational support

Qualifications

  • Current college student or recent graduate in business, nonprofit management, social work, human resources, public administration, or a related field (all majors encouraged to apply)
  • Interest in workforce development, nonprofit operations, or community engagement
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Excel, Canva, or CRM experience a plus
  • Passion for supporting individuals who are situationally homeless or at risk of homelessness

Schedule & Requirements

This is a 240-hour hybrid internship with a flexible, coordinated schedule. Start date is dependent on candidate availability.

Please note: This internship includes a required weekly leadership seminar every Tuesday from 9:00 to 10:00 AM. Candidates must be available for these sessions for the duration of the internship. The first seminar is Tuesday, May 26 from 9:00 to 10:00 AM and attendance is mandatory. Some in-person meetings, training sessions, and events will also be required.
