Extension 4-H/Home & Community Intern - Garfield County
Make a difference in the lives of young people through hands-on learning and leadership development. This internship supports 4-H and youth programs that help youth build life skills, confidence, and a strong sense of belonging while exploring a wide-variety of interests. Interns will gain meaningful, real-world experience delivering programs, mentoring youth, and engaging with communities.
You’ll be part of a supportive, collaborative team that values creativity, positive youth development, and community connection. This role offers a mix of in-person programming and planning, with opportunities for flexible scheduling depending on program needs. Responsibilities
Program & Event Support
- Support and coordinate 4-H summer camps and programs (STEM, Language Arts, Performing Arts, Day Camp, Prepare for the Fair)
Education & Content Development
- Develop curriculum for summer youth programming in rural Utah
Research & Evaluation
- Administer evaluations, and report program impacts for summer youth programming in rural Utah
Community Outreach & Partnerships
- Initiate service-learning opportunities in rural communities
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree
- Have an interest in the Extension program
