Social Architect

Social Architects - Staff that can design the relational infrastructure of DC Row organization and community, focusing on culture, communication, and trust to foster collaboration, engagement, and alignment.  We expect the candidate to function as human systems designers, structuring social environments and leading change from behind the scenes rather than through traditional hierarchy, often in fields like HR, organizational development, or community engagement. 

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Designing Social Systems: Structuring how people connect, share knowledge, and behave within teams and the broader organization.
  • Convening & Collaboration: Creating environments and opportunities for meaningful engagement and collective action.
  • Culture Building: Nurturing a cohesive culture that drives trust, psychological safety, and commitment to shared values.
  • Leadership & Facilitation: Guiding teams through transitions by focusing on human factors rather than just operational efficiency.
  • Communication Flow: Designing internal communication structures to ensure information reaches the right people for effective decision-making.
  • Strategic Alignment: Aligning human behavior with organizational goals, particularly during change efforts.
