Job Description

Job Title: Document Control Co Op                                 Date: April 2026

Reports To: Quality / Engineering Leader  

 

Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive Co-Op to join us on-site for 3-4 months, focusing on document control and data management. This role involves streamlining data tracking, creating a centralized document repository, and ensuring accessibility for HR, QA, and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate will embody FMD’s core values: Integrity, Velocity, and Teamwork, while enhancing organization and accountability within the plant.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of approved document control processes to improve organization and efficiency.
  • Assist in transitioning data tracking systems into a centralized, reliable database.
  • Help scan, transfer, and organize historical documents into a clean, accessible repository.
  • Ensure clear ownership and accountability for documents, supporting established processes.
  • Collaborate with HR, QA, and other teams to align document systems with approved operational needs.
  • Contribute ideas for operational excellence while working within established guidelines and decisions.
  • Support the rollout of standardized tools and processes for document visibility and access.
  • Uphold FMD’s core values: Integrity, Velocity, and Teamwork.

 

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a degree program in Business, Information Systems, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with database systems is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills for working with cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and open to learning new processes and contributing ideas.
  • Interest in document control, data management, and process improvement.
  • Must work on-site during the co-op term.

 

Note: This position requires access or potential access to Unclassified Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information, which is Not Releasable to Foreign Nationals (NOFORN) data. Therefore, to meet NOFORN requirement, you will have to provide proof of US Citizenship and attest that you do not have dual citizenship. Acceptable proof of US Citizenship is a US Passport, US Birth Certificate or Naturalization Certificate.
