Quality Assurance Engineer

Stein Seal Company is a growing manufacturing company that services the commercial and government aerospace industries, as well as the nuclear and power generation industries. Stein Seal is seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Engineer who will be responsible for ensuring product quality by reviewing requirements and systems to validate that the Quality Management System (QMS) was followed and delivered the expected outcomes. This position will deal directly with all levels of manufacturing and is responsible for the job functions listed below.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Audits: 
    • Representative of Stein Seal for Internal/External Audits 
    • Conduct Internal/External Audits 
    • Audit Preparation 
    • Audit Scheduling
  • Maintain Customer Specification Index: 
    • Documentation/Revisions
  • Maintain Supplier Approvals: 
    • Documentation 
    • Database
  • Maintain Supplier Vendor Quality System:
    • Metrics
  • Quality Documentation/Reports – (Inspection Methods, Tool Selection, APQP, QOP, COQ, ETC): 
    • Create 
    • Review/Approve 
    • Maintain 
    • Train 
  • Risk Based Assessments: 
    • Perform 
    • Document
  • Review/Approve Documentation: 
    • Travelers 
    • P.O.’s 
    • Accuracy Justifications 
    • CARs 
    • Forms/Policies/Procedures
    •  Order Flow
  • Monitoring and analyzing quality performance
  • Continuous Improvement: 
    • Promote, participate and assist the organization to always improve
  • Assist with measurement discrepancies
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Desired Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Quality Management or Mechanical Engineering or applicable experience
  • (5+) years working in an Aerospace Production environment
  • Inspection technique knowledge including CMM’s
  • Problem solving - RCCA/8D
  • Aerospace Auditing/ISO Auditing
  • Bonus: Circumferential Seal knowledge
  • Bonus: (5+) years working in a Nuclear environment
  • Willing to train the right candidate
