Field Application & Service Engineer
Role Description:
This is a full-time, on-site opportunity for a Field Application & Service Engineer, based in Boise, ID. In this role, you will provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, perform preventive maintenance, and deliver exceptional customer service. You’ll work closely with customers to understand their needs, develop tailored solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams at SEMICS to ensure efficient, effective support.

Location: On Site: Dallas, Tx Phoenix, AZ, and Boise, ID
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with customers' engineers and SEMICS sales, planning, and marketing teams to ensure that SEMICS Wafer Prober products integrate seamlessly with customer systems.
- Provide both onsite and offsite support for customers, including Wafer Prober System setup, evaluations, operation, and maintenance training, and troubleshooting assistance.
- Resolve customer technical issues through collaboration with SEMICS teams and direct engagement with customers.
- Travel to client sites as needed, up to 50% of the time.
Qualifications:
- Experience in field service and technical support.
- Strong troubleshooting and preventive maintenance abilities.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the capability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently.
- Effective communication skills for client interactions.
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
- Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Experience with wafer testing in the semiconductor industry (preferred).
- Direct customer support experience is a plus.
- Ability to set priorities, understand resource allocations, and work with teams to meet timelines.
- Ability to travel within the US, Canada, Mexico, South Korea, and Asia.
- Valid US work authorization required.
- Native-level English fluency is required.
