Civil Engineering/Land Surveying Intern
Civil engineering and land surveying summer 2026 internship in Burnsville, MN. This opportunity will initially focus on land surveying field work, with opportunities for drafting and design tasks. Candidates should have the following qualifications:
- Pursuing a major in civil engineering or land surveying, or other related field
- Availability to work in the field Monday through Friday
- An interest in pursuing a career in the land development consulting field
- Valid driver's license
Role Includes:
- Physical activity - ability to lift 60 lbs
- Minimal travel - job sites are within driving distance of Burnsville, MN. Overnight travel is not required. Candidates will be expected to manage transportation to and from the company office in Burnsville, MN.
- Compensation range = $20/hour - $25/hour, depending on experience
- Start/end dates are flexible to accommodate school calendar
- Interns will be paired with crew chiefs
This role will provide a great foundation for civil engineering and land surveying students, who will have the opportunity to spend time in the field completing boundary and topographic surveys, and assisting with staking improvements on active construction projects. Students will have the opportunity to work under licensed Engineers and Land Surveyors.
