University Housing Facilities – Summer Facilities Crew Staff

University Housing Facilities is seeking Facilities Crew staff members for the summer season. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working in a supportive team environment.

Dates:

• May 18th – August 28th, 2026 

Pay Rate:

• Starting Pay $13.00 per hour 

Weekly Hours:

• Up to 40 hours per week 

Typical Shift:

• Shifts occur during daytime hours, with start times as early as 6:00 AM 
• Shift length and schedule may vary based on operational needs 
• Flexible scheduling available; no evenings or weekends required

Facilities Assistant Duties:

• Assist with custodial tasks such as mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning walls, windows, floors, and carpets 
• Maintain cleanliness of assigned areas  
• Help with room setup and takedown 
• Assist with laundry operations as needed 
• Remove, clean, and replace windows (inside and out); clean tracks and repair screens 
• Use basic hand tools as needed 

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, twist, bend, kneel, and climb stairs for extended periods 
• Basic knowledge of housekeeping is helpful
