Job Title: Summer Operations Intern

Position Summary

The Summer Operations Intern supports Liberty Furniture Industries’ distribution and operational functions by assisting with daily activities, process documentation, and performance tracking initiatives. This role provides exposure to warehouse operations, logistics coordination, and cross-functional supply chain processes within a professional business environment.

The intern will work under the guidance of operations leadership and collaborate with multiple departments to support organizational objectives and continuous improvement efforts, including participation in the development and documentation of internal parts-related processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 📦

• Support general operations activities within distribution and warehouse environments 
• Assist with inventory-related tasks and operational reporting 
• Participate in process improvement and workflow documentation efforts 
• Support the creation and documentation of internal parts setup and tracking processes 
• Assist in organizing and standardizing parts-related procedures and supporting materials 
• Help track operational metrics and performance indicators 
• Provide administrative support for operations-related projects as needed 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including logistics, customer service, product development, and operations staff 
• Observe and assist with day-to-day distribution center activities 

Additional duties may be assigned as business needs require.

Qualifications ✅

• Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field 
• Strong organizational and communication skills 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel 
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment 
• Demonstrated attention to detail and willingness to learn 

Work Environment

This position operates in both office and warehouse settings and may involve exposure to conditions typical of a distribution environment.
