Compensation: $47,000–$52,000/year

Schedule: Full-time | Monday–Friday | On-site

 

ABOUT AMERICAN SUPPLY

American Supply (AMSU) is a wholesale distributor of welding supplies serving customers across Latin America, and the Caribbean. We move product fast and hold high standards - every order must be right, every time.

 

ROLE SUMMARY

We are hiring a Customer Service Representative to serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, order status, and issue resolution. This role sits at the intersection of sales, operations, and logistics - you will be responsible for making sure customers have the information they need and that their orders are handled correctly from placement to delivery.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Answer and respond to inbound customer inquiries via phone and email
  • Provide order status updates and estimated delivery timelines
  • Coordinate with the warehouse team to resolve shipping discrepancies or delays
  • Process order changes, returns, and follow-up requests
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and order activity
  • Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate internal team promptly
  • Support invoice and billing inquiries in coordination with operations
  • Assist with outbound customer communication for promotions or order confirmations
  • Maintain a professional, solutions-first tone in all customer interactions

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • 1–3 years of customer service experience, ideally in a distribution, wholesale, or logistics environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required - our customer base is bilingual
  • Organized, calm under pressure, and able to manage multiple active inquiries
  • Basic computer proficiency - experience with order management systems or QuickBooks a plus
  • Professional phone manner and email etiquette
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to following through on customer commitments
