Entry Level Consultant
SciRisq Inc. is a leader in providing consulting services related to assessing the consequences and risks associated with potentially catastrophic events including explosions, fires and toxic material releases. We work in numerous sectors including energy, oil and gas, manufacturing, chemicals and defense. SciRisq uses several tools to conduct analysis and modeling of events and to conduct statistical analyses. These include advanced commercial tools and in-house developed tools.
SciRisq is growing and is currently seeking an entry level consultant/engineer to assist with the performance of safety studies for clients and other related projects. The job will allow for exposure to a varying degree of projects, working across numerous industries.
Responsibilities:
The consultant/engineer is expected to support the execution of projects by interpreting data provided by clients that include facility and process information. Tasks would include synthesizing this data for use in a variety of analysis tools. Also to be performed is the calculation of the outcome of potential events using a variety of software models. The consultant/engineer will also be responsible for producing information and contributing to the production of reports documenting the studies.
Qualifications: Qualified candidates should meet or exceed the following requirements:
Required:
- BS in an Engineering or a Technology discipline.
- Ability to work effectively under direction of senior engineers and handle multiple work assignments and projects.
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Possess effective verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in CAD modeling platforms
- Proficiency in standard computer / information technology systems such as MS Office
Preferred:
- Experience in coding such as VBA within Excel, Python, C++
- Experience in modeling tools such as CFD and/or FEA
