Job Title: Church Nursery Worker
Reports To: Children’s Ministry Director
Status: Part-Time (Sunday mornings; occasional special events)

Pay: $ 15.00

Job Summary

We are looking for a warm, reliable, and nurturing individual to join our nursery team. You will create a safe, joyful, and welcoming environment for our youngest members (infants through age 4), allowing parents to participate in worship with peace of mind. The ideal candidate is an engaging presence who loves helping children feel the love of God through play and care.

Key Responsibilities

• Active Engagement: Provide age-appropriate play, read stories, and lead simple crafts or songs to keep children happily occupied.
• Nurturing Care: Attend to basic needs, including soothing upset children, changing diapers, and assisting with snacks.
• Safety & Security: Follow all check-in/check-out procedures and maintain a clean, sanitized, and hazard-free environment.
• Parent Communication: Greet parents warmly, relaying any necessary information about their child's time in the nursery at pickup.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Proven experience caring for infants and toddlers (previous church, daycare, or school experience preferred).
• Character: A positive attitude and an energetic, "can-do" personality.
• Reliability: Punctuality is critical; our families depend on the nursery being open on time every week.
• Clearance: Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check.
• Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs and move easily between sitting on the floor and standing.

Schedule

• Sundays: 9:30-11:30
• Optional: Wednesday evenings or special holiday services as needed.
