Wilderness Trip Leader (PAID Internship Available)

We’re hiring Wilderness Trip Leaders to guide unforgettable expeditions across Maine — from summiting Mt. Katahdin to paddling the Allagash and Penobscot Rivers.

This isn’t your typical camp job. It’s real leadership in the backcountry.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead multi-day hiking and canoe trips
  • Teach backcountry skills, navigation, and safety
  • Mentor boys (11–15) in confidence, resilience, and teamwork
  • Create meaningful, once-in-a-lifetime wilderness experiences

Who You Are

  • Experienced in backpacking and/or canoe tripping
  • Confident, adaptable, and calm under pressure
  • Passionate about working with kids and leading in the outdoors
