Brandon Bosch is a California based DJ, live musician, and event producer creating memorable celebrations since 2006. Through The Celebration DJ & Co, he leads a team providing DJs, musicians, photo booths, and lighting for weddings, corporate events, and private celebrations across California.

Position Overview

This is a hands on apprenticeship for someone interested in live events, music, and potentially becoming a DJ. You will work directly alongside Brandon Bosch at weddings and events, learning event production, sound, lighting, and the flow of a professional event in real time.

This role is ideal for someone who is reliable, hardworking, respectful and excited to be part of high energy environments.

A Day in the Life

Every event is different, but here’s what a typical day can look like:

• Meet in Oakland and help load gear into the van (up to ~40 lbs)
• Drive to the event while I handle final music prep & explain timeline
• Start the day with a fresh organic smoothie
• Set up ceremony and reception sound and lighting systems
• Support transitions throughout the event
• Break down and relocate equipment as needed
• Enjoy appetizers and a full wedding dinner
• Assist with photo booth and guest experience when needed
• Capture video content during live moments and performances
• Help keep everything organized and running smoothly
• Break down all gear efficiently at the end of the night
• Drive back and unload at the end of the event

Responsibilities

• Assist with loading, transport, setup, and breakdown
• Support live event execution across multiple phases
• Help maintain a clean and professional setup
• Assist with media capture and content creation
• Be present, proactive, and ready to help where needed

Qualifications

• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Interest in music, events, or DJing
• Ability to lift and move equipment (up to ~40 lbs)
• Reliable transportation to Oakland meeting point
• Must be comfortable driving a van
• Weekend availability (most events are Fri–Sun)
• Comfortable with long event days (10 to 14 hours)

Compensation

• Paid apprenticeship starting at $22 per hour
• Pay increases with experience and responsibility
• Tips may be shared based on performance
• Opportunities to grow into lead assistant or DJ roles

Growth Opportunity

For those interested, this role can develop into a DJ position within The Celebration DJ & Co. Apprentices who show initiative and passion for music will have the opportunity to train on DJ equipment and eventually perform at events.
