General Campaign Internship
The General Campaign Staff member supports the day-to-day operations of a variety of campaigns and helps ensure that key campaign activities run smoothly. Our firm has statewide candidates to the State House level. This role assists with communications, strategic planning, candidate support, voter engagement efforts, and administrative tasks. The position requires a highly organized and adaptable individual who can work collaboratively, follow direction, and contribute to multiple aspects of a fast-paced campaign environment. Every day will be different.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with campaign communications, including drafting social media content, graphics, and outreach materials
- Provide logistical and strategic support for campaign initiatives and events
- Support the candidate and campaign leadership with scheduling, preparation, and coordination
- Help coordinate voter registration efforts and community outreach activities
- Assist with campaign business management tasks, including organizing records and tracking materials
- Perform administrative duties such as data entry, document preparation, and maintaining campaign files
- Collaborate with campaign staff and volunteers to execute campaign plans and priorities
- Complete additional campaign tasks as needed to support overall operations
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Basic graphic design skills (e.g., ability to create simple graphics for social media or campaign materials)
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
- High level of professionalism when interacting with voters, volunteers, and stakeholders
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Ability to follow direction and work within a team structure
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
