Photography Instructor – Instructor 4

The Elsie Stuhr Center at Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District (THPRD) is looking for an experienced Photography Instructor to lead engaging and inclusive photography classes for all skill levels. What You’ll Do

  • Plan and teach photography classes, workshops, or programs in a recreational setting
  • Create a supportive, hands-on learning environment for participants
  • Develop lessons that cover technical and artistic aspects of photography—from camera basics to composition and editing
  • Provide guidance and feedback tailored to different learning styles and experience levels
  • Prepare materials, set up equipment, and ensure the safety of participants and the activity space

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Over two (2) years of experience teaching photography or working professionally in the field
  • Specialized training in the subject area
  • Strong communication and teaching skills, with a welcoming and inclusive approach
  • Ability to work independently and adapt lessons to meet group needs
  • Knowledge of photography and photo composition techniques

 

Schedule & Hours
This is a part-time variable position.
Hours typically range between 2–29 hours per week, with flexible scheduling that may include evenings and weekends depending on program needs.

 

Pay

The hiring range for this position is $29.76 to $33.56, based on experience and internal equity. The full hourly range for this job classification is $29.76 to $33.56. Staff may be eligible for a merit increase at the end of September.
