Role Overview

WorldTech IT offers flexibility, focus, and a culture where your teammates are genuine, care for you, and love what they do. The WordPress Developer Intern will serve as the primary website owner, responsible for maintaining, updating, and improving our WordPress site. This is a hands-on role where you'll gain real experience managing a production B2B website, working directly with marketing and sales teams, and building features that drive business results. You'll grow into a Website Owner role with increasing responsibility.  This role will pay $20-25/hour depending on experience. 

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update the WorldTech IT WordPress website (content, plugins, themes, security)

• Build new landing pages, blog templates, and site features as requested by marketing

• Optimize site performance, page speed, and SEO technical foundations

• Implement and maintain analytics tracking (Google Analytics 4, HubSpot, tag management)

• Troubleshoot and resolve website issues promptly

• Collaborate with Content/Enablement Manager on content publishing workflows

• Ensure mobile responsiveness and cross-browser compatibility

• Manage hosting environment, backups, and security protocols

Requirements

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Web Development, Computer Science, or related field

• Working knowledge of WordPress (themes, plugins, page builders)

• Basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills

• Familiarity with Google Analytics or similar web analytics tools

• Understanding of SEO fundamentals

• Self-Starter — Takes ownership of the website without needing constant direction

• Detail-Oriented — Catches broken links, formatting issues, and visual inconsistencies

• Quick Learner — Picks up new tools and technologies rapidly

• Responsive — Addresses urgent website issues promptly

Nice to Haves

• Experience with design tools (Figma, Canva) is a plus
