Communication Assistant
Position Responsibilities:
As a Communication Assistant, the candidate will have the following responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development, editing, and dissemination of high-quality communication materials for both internal and external audiences, including newsletters, web content, presentations, and social media posts related to international programs and partnerships.
- Support the planning, coordination, and promotion of international events, official visits, and cultural exchange activities, assisting with timelines, outreach strategies, and participant communications.
- Act as a communication liaison between the International Affairs Office, other university departments, and external partner institutions, ensuring clear information flow and effective coordination of logistics and messaging.
- Provide administrative and operational support for ongoing international initiatives, including data organization, meeting preparation, documentation, and follow-up tasks to ensure smooth execution of programs and activities.

The International Affairs Office is part of one of Chile’s most respected universities. Its offers a broad range of undergraduate and graduate programs across fields such as science, engineering, arts, humanities, and social sciences. The International Affairs Office manages student mobility programs, welcoming over 400 exchange students annually, and promoting international collaboration and cultural exchange.

On-site Supervision and Support
Our internships include 24/7 on-site staff to support students working and living abroad. All students will also report to a supervisor at their internship site. Supervisors provide and oversee daily tasks, introduce the intern to team members, and mentor the intern in organizational agility, skill acquisition, and career readiness. Interns complete a midpoint and final evaluation, and supervisors complete a final evaluation of their interns. All work responsibilities and projects are approved in advance.
Academic Credit
Students on an internship have the opportunity to enroll in their home university for credit, or enroll in a course through API to transfer back to their university for credit. Email support-internships@apiexperience.com for more information and a syllabus.
