Biotech Summer Intern
Location: New York City, NY (Hybrid: 3 Days On-site)
Duration: June 8 – August 7, 2026
Compensation: $22.00 per hour
The Corporate Partner
Our Corporate Partner is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing an innovative pipeline of cancer therapies. They focus on first-in-class treatments for acute leukemia and rare diseases, adhering to scientific excellence to serve underserved patient communities.
The Role
This 9-week experience is focused on professional growth in the biotech industry. Interns will be matched with a specific department (such as R&D, Clinical, or Operations) based on their interests and will participate in professional development seminars.
Responsibilities
- Departmental Support: Assist with routine tasks and projects within the assigned clinical or business unit.
- Data & Records: Support data collection, documentation, and maintenance of accurate reports.
- Collaboration: Attend cross-functional team meetings and learning sessions.
- Presentation: Deliver a final project presentation to the leadership team at the conclusion of the program.
Qualifications
- Education: Current Sophomores or Juniors majoring in Biology, Biotech, Chemistry, Bioengineering, or a related field.
- Skills: Basic understanding of scientific concepts; proficiency in MS Office or Google Workspace.
- Requirements: Must be a Pell Grant Recipient for the current academic year.

How to Apply
- Verify Pell Grant Status: Submit a screenshot of the Pell Grant section from your Financial Aid portal for the current school year. You may black out dollar amounts.
- Submit Documentation: Send the screenshot and your resume (saved as a PDF) via Handshake message or to kevin.nicholas@lifesciencecares.org.
- Virtual Intro Meeting: Once verified, you will be invited to a 30-35 minute video call to learn more about the Project Onramp program and share your background. This is a preliminary step before corporate partner interviews.
