Market Research Intern

JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a curious and motivated Market Research Intern to support our Consumer Insights team through data analysis, reporting, and research support activities. This internship provides hands‑on exposure to consumer research, and cross‑functional collaboration within a CPG environment.
The internship is based in our Tarrytown, NY office three (3) days per week (Tuesday–Thursday). You will gain structured, on‑the‑job experience working closely with Insights, Marketing, Sales, and external research partners.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES/ACTIVTIES:
You will develop your analytics, storytelling, and research skills while supporting projects that may include:
- Supporting an Insights‑led AI workflow where Marketing teams can leverage AI tools to help summarize research findings, explore patterns in data, and improve insight storytelling, under guidance from the Consumer Insights team.
- Assisting with the analysis of quantitative consumer research data (e.g., brand health trackers, ad hoc studies, and surveys)
- Supporting the creation of insights materials, including PowerPoint slides, summaries, and one‑page readouts
- Helping prepare reports related to brand performance, consumer attitudes, and category trends.
- Assisting in organizing and maintaining research documentation, data files, and trackers
- Supporting ad‑hoc research requests from Insights, Marketing, and Sales teams under guidance from senior team members
- Participating in team meetings and gaining exposure to how consumer insights inform brand, pricing, innovation, and retailer decisions.
- Learning how external research vendors and internal stakeholders collaborate throughout the research process.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Market Research, Business, Marketing, Psychology, Analytics, Statistics, or a related field
- Expected graduation date: Spring/Summer 2027
- Strong Excel skills, including PivotTables, basic formulas, and data organization.
- Comfortable leveraging company approved AI tools.
- Familiarity with PowerPoint and interest in creating clear, compelling presentations.
- Coursework or prior experience related to market research, consumer behavior, analytics, or CPG a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to organize, analyze, and summarize data accurately.
- High attention to detail and strong problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Work Hours: 30-35 hours per week.
Salary Range: $20-$25/hr.
