Marley & Moose is a children’s boutique rooted in imagination, community, and meaningful play. We host hands-on camps, story-based classes, and private events that bring families together through creativity, connection, and calm chaos (the good kind).
We’re a small, close-knit team, and most of our staff have been with us since we opened almost 3 years ago. We’re looking for someone who wants to grow with us long-term, not just fill a seasonal gap.

The Role
We are hiring a Retail + Events Assistant (Part-Time) to support both in-store retail operations and our growing schedule of camps, classes, and private events.
This role is a hybrid retail employee and event assistant supporting our camp and event programming, especially during the summer season.
You’ll be part of a team that brings energy, structure, and warmth to busy, joy-filled spaces for children of all ages—from toddlers through elementary school.

What You’ll Do
 

Support summer camps and private children’s events (birthdays & baby showers)

Assist during weekly classes and in-store programming 

Help set up, reset, and maintain event/class spaces


 

Retail store staffing and customer support

  • Cleaning & organizing store spaces
  • Inventory tracking & auditing
     

Who You Are

We’re looking for someone who feels naturally aligned with a space full of kids, creativity, and movement, you:

  • Technical enough to master our POS system & troubleshoot basic technical issues

Experience in childcare, education, athletics, camps, or customer-facing roles is a plus, but energy and attitude matter most.


 

Availability

  • Part-time position, 8-12 hours per week to start (camp weeks up to 24 hours)
  • Schedule is somewhat flexible, but must be able to work one weekday 12-6 & weekends required (daytime and/or early evening) as well as camp weeks
  • Long-term availability is strongly preferred

Compensation

$18–$22 per hour, depending on experience and availability
