Marketing Associate – Blumaka
Blumaka is a performance insole brand used by 1,000+ professional athletes across the NFL, MLB, NBA, and beyond. We're a small, high-output team — which means this role has real ownership and real visibility.
This is a full-time, in-person role based in Santa Barbara, CA. We're looking for a hungry entry-level candidate who wants to build something real — someone who executes across content, design, and affiliate, moves fast, takes ownership, and doesn't wait to be told what to do. The Role
You'll report directly to the Marketing Manager and own execution across four areas:
Content & Social Shoot, edit, and publish content across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Facebook. Adapt content per platform — not one-size-fits-all. You're always thinking about content ideas and shoots.
Design & Creative Produce creatives, email graphics, website visuals, Amazon listings, and marketing collateral in-house. Fast turnaround, consistent brand identity.
Affiliate & Email Own the affiliate program end-to-end — outreach, onboarding, product education, links, and monthly payouts. Send 2 email campaigns per week via Klaviyo, aligned with the content calendar and active promotions.
Website & SEO Make weekly updates to Shopify — product pages, conversion testing, bug fixes. Publish regular blog content to support organic growth.
Who You Are
- You take ownership without needing perfect direction
- You're creative and operational — you can both think and build systems
- You communicate clearly and are responsive
- You use good judgment on where to spend your time
Experience & Education 0–2 years of experience in marketing, content, or a related field. A degree in marketing, communications, or similar is a plus — but not required.
Tools Shopify, Klaviyo, Photoshop/Illustrator, Meta. Comfortable picking up new tools quickly.
What This Role Is Not This is not a strategy role. Brand direction, paid ads, and performance reporting stay with leadership. You focus on execution — high volume, high quality, every day. There is room to grow into broader ownership as you get up to speed.
Growth This role is a launching pad. As you prove yourself, there's a real path toward more strategic ownership — and we'd rather promote from within than hire from outside.
