Finance Intern
Assignment Duration: Approximately 10 weeks
Overview:
This temporary assignment supports data analysis and customs-related financial reporting initiatives. The role focuses on managing and analyzing large datasets related to tariffs, materials, and import activity, while collaborating closely with Purchasing and other internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain an extensive database received from the company’s Customs Agent.
- Identify, validate, and classify critical data elements, including tariffs, part numbers, and pricing information.
- Categorize tariff data according to customer Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Partner with the Purchasing team to perform similar tariff and import data analysis for non-direct imports.
- Collect, organize, and maintain supporting documentation, including invoices and customs-related records.
- Assist with a project aimed at improving the company’s material database handling and data management processes.
- Analyze and extract data from high-volume transactional systems, processing thousands of material- and import-related transactions each month.
Qualifications:
- Finance, Accounting, or a related degree; student entering final year of Bachelor's program or Master's program.
- Strong database and data analysis skills, with the ability to manage large and complex datasets.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams, particularly Purchasing and Finance.
