Chemist internship part-time for weekend work Philly near UPenn

We are seeking a chemist (including undergraduates, graduate students, or graduates) for a weekend internship in our laboratory near UPenn at 3500 Market Street, Philadelphia. This part-time contractor position is for 3 months, with work required on-site every Saturday for an 8-hour shift. There is the possibility of extension. The role offers $18/hour and a flexible 1 hour lunch break is included. The position is available because we want to expedite an ongoing project. The position starts May 1, 2026.

Your primary task will be working on the formulation of innovative materials using polymers and natural macro-molecules. We are looking for someone with a creative mind, who has a solid enthusiasm for biochemistry and material chemistry. Experience in organic chemistry, polymers, or material science is ideal, but we also provide training, making it an excellent opportunity for students and chemists of any background to gain hands-on experience in this field. Experience with coatings is a plus.
