Combat Designer

Combat Designer

Job Responsibilities

  1. Design and oversee the production of new content within the existing combat framework, including but not limited to combat systems, playable characters, enemies, and related features.
  2. Coordinate with the Art and Programming teams to ensure that both the core combat modules and supporting systems achieve the intended gameplay experience and presentation.
  3. Continuously monitor the core combat experience and propose mature, actionable solutions for improvement.

Requirements

  1. Familiar with the combat systems and skill design of current mainstream 3D action ARPGs. Highly sensitive to combat presentation and hit feedback, with extensive experience playing AAA action titles.
  2. Passionate about games, with broad gaming experience. Able to analyze and compare outstanding games on the market and draw inspiration from them. Completionists and platinum trophy achievers are preferred.
  3. Possess strong logical thinking and a basic understanding of art/design principles. Able to collaborate efficiently with programmers and artists to validate and optimize designs.
  4. Excellent communication skills, detail-oriented, rigorous, team-oriented, and highly responsible in work.
  5. Passionate about anime and ACG culture, with a strong understanding of anime-oriented audiences. Sensitivity to the conceptual core, artistic expression, and visual aesthetics of anime-related IPs is preferred.
  6. Passionate about content creation and highly perceptive to creative work. Candidates who find enjoyment and fulfillment through both the creative and collaborative process are preferred.
  7. Experience with UE4 project development and creating self-made combat demos is preferred.
