English Teaching Assistant

Position Responsibilities:
The selected teaching assistant will conduct conversational English classes with middle school students, assist teachers, and prepare lessons (when required). Play interactive games like flashcard games, organize engaging tasks, and create presentations to make learning fun and effective. Potential responsibilities could include:

• Lead conversational English activities with a focus on pronunciation.
• Assist teachers during classes and classroom activities.
• Prepare interactive lessons, games, and presentations.
• Work with supervising teachers to plan and deliver sessions.
• Complete a final reflective essay on the teaching experience.

A private Catholic middle school located in Boulogne-Billancourt, just outside Paris. Known for its academic excellence, it consistently achieves a 100% pass rate on the national middle school exam (Brevet). The school welcomes approximately 740 students across 24 classes and emphasizes both intellectual rigor and personal development. On-site Supervision and Support

Our internships include 24/7 on-site staff to support students working and living abroad. All students will also report to a supervisor at their internship site. Supervisors provide and oversee daily tasks, introduce the intern to team members, and mentor the intern in organizational agility, skill acquisition, and career readiness. Interns complete a midpoint and final evaluation, and supervisors complete a final evaluation of their interns. All work responsibilities and projects are approved in advance. 

Academic Credit

Students on an internship have the opportunity to enroll in their home university for credit, or enroll in a course through API to transfer back to their university for credit. Email support-internships@apiexperience.com for more information and a syllabus.
