About ABC Physical Therapy
ABC Physical Therapy is a trusted provider of outpatient physical therapy services in the South Puget Sound region, with clinics in Tacoma and Gig Harbor, WA. Our team is dedicated to helping patients recover, move better, and live fully. As we continue to grow in our communities, we're looking for a motivated Marketing Intern to help us build and strengthen relationships with local healthcare providers.
About the Role
This is a fantastic, hands-on opportunity for Marketing majors looking to gain real-world experience over summer break. You'll be out in the community representing ABC Physical Therapy — visiting physician offices, orthopedic practices, and medical clinics across Tacoma and Gig Harbor to distribute marketing materials and connect with referral coordinators. The internship is available immediately, runs through the end of summer, and offers the potential to grow into a longer-term position for the right candidate.
What You'll Do
- Make regular visits to doctor's offices, orthopedic clinics, urgent care centers, and other medical facilities in the Tacoma and Gig Harbor areas.
- Drop off ABC Physical Therapy marketing materials and introduce our services to office staff and referral coordinators.
- Build and maintain positive, ongoing relationships with healthcare referral sources.
- Represent ABC Physical Therapy in a professional, friendly, and knowledgeable manner.
- Track and log outreach activity, including locations visited, contacts made, and materials distributed.
- Provide regular updates to the team on outreach progress and community feedback.
- Assist with administrative and office support tasks (optional hours available for interested candidates).
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- Must have a reliable personal vehicle, valid driver's license, and willingness to travel locally between the Tacoma and Gig Harbor areas.
- Outgoing, confident, and comfortable initiating conversations in professional healthcare settings.
- Organized and self-motivated — able to manage a visit schedule with minimal supervision. Weekly schedule will be provided.
- Professional appearance and strong verbal communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience in sales, community outreach, canvassing, or customer-facing roles.
- Interest in physical therapy, healthcare, sports medicine, or wellness industries.
- Administrative or office experience (for candidates interested in optional hybrid hours).
